Advancement Procedures:
Cub Scout

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE WILL BE USED TO REPORT THE ADVANCEMENT OF CUB SCOUTS AND WEBELOS.

SCOUT:
1. The Scout passes all the requirements to earn the rank.

DEN LEADER:
1. The Den Leader records the Scout's advancement on the Scout's Individual Cub Scout Record.

2. The Den Leader records the Scout's advancement on the Cub Scout Den Record or the Webelos Den Record.

3. The Den Leader records the Scout's advancement on the Den Advancement Report and recognition items on the Den Recognition Report.

4. The Den Leader gives in the Den Advancement Report and the Den Recognition Report to the Pack Advancement Chairman.

PACK ADVANCEMENT CHAIRMAN:
1. The Pack Advancement Chairman consolidates advancement and recognition reports from all the Den Leaders on the Council Advancement Report. If the report is computer generated, prepare three signed copies.

2. The Pack Advancement Chairman takes the Advancement Report to the Council Office.

3. The Pack Advancement Chairman purchases the ranks needed.
If the Pack is 100% Boys Life, the Council Advancement Committee will pay for the rank advancement badges.

COUNCIL OFFICE:
1. The Council Office records the date of receipt of the
Advancement Report and returns the green copy to the Pack Advancement Chairman.

2. The Council Office forwards the pink copy to the District
Advancement Chairman.

3. The Council Office records rank advancement on the computer for a permanent record.

4. The Council Office files the Advancement Report in the unit's file.

SCOUT:
1. The Scout receives his advancement as soon as possible.
